CrimeWanted man ‘high risk to public’ known to frequent Hamilton, Brantford

Hamilton police are searching for a man said to be a “high risk to the public” who cut off his GPS ankle monitor late Friday in Dundas.

Jonathan Shane Beaver’s last known location was near Hatt Street and Sydenham Drive around 11:15 a.m.

Beaver was on a release order for break-and-enter and firearm possession charges in York Region earlier this year. He now faces additional charges for failing to comply with that release order.

Police say Beaver has ties to Hamilton and several other Ontario cities and regions, including Brantford, Haldimand-Norfolk, Paris, Niagara, Waterloo, York and the Bruce Peninsula.

The public is asked to call 911 if they see Beaver to report his location.

Anyone with information related to the investigation can contact the Division 30 Patrol Staff Sergeant at 905-546-3886. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers of Hamilton at 1-800-222-8477.
