Two more candidates have entered in the Brantford mayoral race.

Dave Wrobel, served as Ward 4 councillor for three terms and is making a third attempt to become mayor. He was elected Ward 4 councillor in 2000, was re-elected in 2003 and returned to win back his seat in 2010. He ran for mayor in 2014 and 2018.

Ryan Smith is a first time candidate and is known around the city as “Brantford Batman.” He spent the last seven years entertaining people dressed as the cape crusader at charity events and other gatherings.

Smith and Wrobel will face off against current mayor Kevin Davis, who is seeking his second term in office. The City of Brantford and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing will present a virtual candidate information session from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
