Brant County OPP received a report of a train derailment in the area of Railway Street at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Initial reports indicated that two container cars had derailed; however, it was later determined that approximately 25 cars had been affected. The derailment occurred on the railway line between Oak Park Road and Market Street.
CN Rail personnel, CN Police, and the County of Brant Fire Department responded to the scene, where work was completed to repair and clear the line.
