About Trail Mix

Trail Mix merges local music with Brantford’s beautiful trail system, which spans 70km of natural trails within the city limits. Trail users can look for the signs posted on the kilometre markers along the 10km of trail between Hardy Road and River Road, located behind notable tourism destinations in Brantford including Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant, Waterworks Park, Earl Haig Family Fun Park and Brant’s Crossing. Each sign includes a unique QR code to be scanned using a smartphone to gain access to free curated playlists featuring a total of 30 songs from 19 local artists. There are a total of ten playlists along the trail, each with three songs and approximately 10-12 minutes long, which allows the trail user to continue discovering local music during the duration of their hike. Funding for Trail Mix was generously supported by the Hamilton Halton Brant Regional Tourism Association and FedDev Ontario. To learn more, visit www.DiscoverBrantford.ca/TrailMix
