Times Square returns to Brantford

City of BrantfordTimes Square returns to Brantford

Times Square will return to Brantford’s Harmony Square on New Year’s Eve, Friday, December 31.

The even will run from 9:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. where residents can kick-off 2022 with live music, a photo booth, party favours, ice-skating (weather permitting) and a spectacular fireworks show at midnight.

All activities are free and COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place. Attendees are required to physically distance and face coverings are strongly recommended to keep everyone safe. Pre-registration is not required for this event.

“The City of Brantford is grateful for the support of the Government of Ontario through the Ontario ReConnect Program Festival and Events Grant, and sponsors who helped make this event possible,” said Jennifer Middleton, Coordinator of Special Events, City of Brantford. “There is something special about celebrating new beginnings with friends and family.  We are so excited that our community can gather together safely downtown to celebrate 2022!”

The band Empty Hours will kick-off the celebration with live music starting at 9:30 p.m. as they perform classic alternative dance rock followed by Jace Martin & The Pace at 10 p.m. performing top pop, rock, blues and funk billboard hits. The headliner DESIRE  will perform their International U2 Tribute Act starting at 11 p.m.

At midnight, the ball will drop and fireworks will light up the night sky welcoming in 2022!  Special thanks to the Downtown Brantford BIA, this year’s presenting sponsor of the event and fireworks display.

“The Downtown Brantford BIA enjoys supporting the many events offered by the City of Brantford in Harmony Square,” said Barbara Sutherland, Chair, Downtown Brantford BIA Board of Management. “We are excited and look forward to Times Square in Harmony Square on New Year’s Eve.”
