Terry Fallis to debut new book at County Public Library

County of Brant Public Library is excited to welcome celebrated Canadian author Terry Fallis for a special evening event on October 9, 2025 at the TF Warren Group Cainsville Community Centre in Brant, Ontario. 

Fallis will discuss his highly anticipated new novel, The Marionette, and join CBPL’s Emma Johnston in conversation about his writing process, literary career, and previous bestselling titles. 

Fallis is a two-time winner of the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour, best known for his debut novel The Best Laid Plans, which also won the 2011 CBC Canada Reads competition. His work is celebrated for its wit, warmth, and insight into the human condition. His latest release, The Marionette, is described as a comic thriller that follows successful action novelist James Norval, whose life takes a dramatic turn when a series of unfortunate events lands him in an undercover mission to infiltrate the Malian government.
