Kevin Jones of St. George matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the March 15, 2023 LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $100,000.
Jones, a 44-year-old husband and father, said he enjoys playing LOTTO 6/49 with ENCORE. He also plays LOTTO MAX when the jackpots are large. This is his first big win.
The firefighter discovered he won big when he received an email from OLG.
“I was surprised,” he said. “I knew it was more than $10,000 because the email said, ‘Congratulations on your big win.’”
Jones kept his win a secret for around a month before revealing the news.
“My brother was super excited for me,” he shared, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall. “Everyone in the community wished me their best.”
With his winnings, Jones plans to finish some home renovations and save for his kids’ post-secondary education.
“It feels great,” said Jones. “It’s going to take a bit of the stress out of life.”
