Brant OPPSt. George resident facing charge after domestic incident

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual following an intimate partner violence investigation in St. George, Ontario.

On January 14, 2026, at approximately 10:54 p.m., OPP responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the County of Brant.

The investigation determined that a physical and verbal argument between two individuals occurred with one person being assaulted.

As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old male from St. George was arrested and charged with Assault. The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice
