On Friday, January 7, 2022, at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bosworth Court and Wayne Gretzky Parkway after receiving information to advise of a possible impaired driver.
Officers located the vehicle, which was being operated by a lone female. When speaking with the accused, signs of intoxication were observed.
The accused was then placed under arrest for impaired operation and was transported in order to provided samples of her breath as required by law. Both samples provided were over the legal limit.
As a result of this investigation, a 47-year-old woman from St. Catharines, stands charged with Impaired Operation – Plus 80, contrary to the Criminal Code.
Additionally, a licence suspension was issued, and the vehicle impounded as per law.
