Spring Pop-up Street Store returning to Harmony Square

Local NewsSpring Pop-up Street Store returning to Harmony Square

The Spring Pop-Up Street Store will be returning to Harmony Square from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

Since its inception in the Spring of 2016, the Pop-Up Street Store has been a beacon of hope for the community, gathering gently used clothing items, linens, towels, shoes, and more.

“The Downtown Central Neighbourhood Association has been a proud supporter of the Pop Up Street Store for many years. We recognized the need in our community and wanted to  extend a helping hand,” said Jayme Wilson, Chair of the Downtown Central Neighbourhood  Association.

“The demand for essential items has reached unprecedented levels, and now more than ever,  we must unite as a community to support our neighbours in need,” added Jen Middleton, Chair of the Pop-Up Street Store.

This inclusive event aims to provide assistance without any questions asked. An outdoor store will be set up in Harmony Square, featuring sections akin to a department store. Volunteers will also be available to assist shoppers upon request.

Organizers are accepting donations on Tuesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00  p.m. at 141 Chatham Street, Brantford.
