SNGRDC named one of Canada’s best managed companies

Local NewsSNGRDC named one of Canada's best managed companies

Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC) has been named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies by Deloitte Canada on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

This year’s acknowledgment is the fifth time SNGRDC has been awarded this title. The national award is presented annually by Deloitte Canada and is considered one of Canada’s leading business awards programs, recognizing excellence in private Canadian-owned companies.

Each year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies undergo a rigorous application process, but only the best are awarded with this prestigious designation.

“We are thrilled to be awarded this title for a fifth year as we continue to optimize and grow our company,” said Matt Jamieson, President and CEO of the Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation. “SNGRDC continues to build our corporate profile on a national scale and seek meaningful partnerships that value the importance of Indigenous business.”

The Best Managed Applicants are evaluated based on four key areas including: Strategy, Capabilities and Innovation, Culture and Commitment, and Governance and Financials.

“This designation is a testament to the tremendous dedication of our team, who remain committed to our goal of achieving economic self-sufficiency for Six Nations,” said Jamieson.
