Six Nations Police Service (SNPS) are investigating a series of incidents at three businesses along Highway 54 in Ohsweken, including two attempted break-and-enters and an armed robbery.

On October 6, 2026, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Six Nations Police responded to an attempted robbery at a business on Highway 54, east of Chiefswood Road. Multiple masked suspects carrying firearms attended the business, and a firearm was discharged during the attempted robbery. The suspects fled east on Highway 54 towards Caledonia prior to police arrival. No injuries were reported.

Further investigation revealed that, shortly before this incident, the suspects had attempted to rob another business on Highway 54 before breaking into a third business and stealing a large amount of merchandise and cash.

SNPS are working with the Ontario Provincial Police’s Forensic Identification Unit as part of the ongoing investigation. Police presence and patrols will be increased in the area.
