Six Nations Police investigating attempted break and enter

CrimeSix Nations Police investigating attempted break and enter

Six Nations Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the individuals responsible for an attempted break and enter.  

Six Nations Police responded to an attempted break and enter involving a firearm on Onondaga Road at approximately 5:52 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

The residents of the home reported that they were awoken to the sound of two individuals attempting to enter the home. One male suspect was carrying a firearm. The victims were able to stop the suspects from entering the home. The suspects are believed to have fled the area on foot. Officer searched the immediate area with negative results. Due to one of the suspects potentially being armed, outside agency assistance was requested to assist with the search. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.  

The male suspect is described as in his 20’s, light skinned indigenous, wearing a black hoodie and thick rimmed glasses. No description of the second individual was obtained.  

Police are actively conducting an ongoing investigation and are appealing to the public for assistance. Any business or homes in the Onondaga Road and Sixth Line area are being asked to check their video surveillance systems to see if they captured a vehicle or  individuals involved. Drivers with dash cams are also being asked to check their footage to see if they captured the incident around this time, or if you have any information about  the identity of the suspects, you are urged to contact the Six Nations Police at  519-445-2811.

Police are urging all residents in the community to ensure that you lock your windows and doors to your home and vehicles. Please use vigilance and be aware of your surroundings.
