Suspicious vehicle causes damage at local school

Police continue to investigate and are looking for information  from the public regarding property damage at a local school.  

London Communications Centre advised police of a suspicious vehicle at a local school on  Cayuga Road at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024.

The information provided to police was that a silver Mercedes Benz  C230 was observed spinning around at the rear of the property and the school track. Upon police arrival the suspects were not at the scene and the vehicle was on fire. The Six Nations Fire Department assisted with extinguishing the vehicle fire. The  vehicle was destroyed by fire. The vehicle was not reported to police as stolen.  

Witnesses provided information that a male and female were heard arguing after the vehicle lost control, hit the fence, and became stuck. Police were advised that the occupants of the vehicle were seen trying to get the vehicle mobile again. The vehicle had damaged a large portion of fencing on the school property.

Police respond to suspicious vehicle complaint

An Ohsweken resident has been charged with multiple offences as police investigated a fail to remain collision.  

Members of the Six Nations Police were advised of a suspicious vehicle that struck a trailer on Harold Road at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

The vehicle was observed by witnesses to be driving erratically in the area, lost control and struck a trailer. Police arrived in the area and located the trailer that had tire marks leading up to hit it. There was minimal damage to the trailer. The suspected vehicle was located a short distance away. Police approached the vehicle and observed a male party asleep in the passenger seat of the vehicle.  Police awoke the male, who was uncooperative with the officers throughout the  investigation.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Thomas  WORME (34 years old) of Ohsweken, Ontario with the following criminal offences:

– Obstruct Peace Officer 

– Assault with intent to Resist Arrest 

– Assault Peace Officer  

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on December 13, 2024.  

Ohsweken resident facing charges after traffic stop

After conducting a traffic stop of a motor vehicle for a broken taillight, officers arrested and charged an Ohsweken resident.  

Members of the Six Nations Police were on general patrol when they observed a vehicle travelling on  Onondaga Road with a nonoperational taillight at approximately 3:35 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Police successfully conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle. The male driver advised police that he did not have a valid driver’s licence and police later determined that he is also a prohibited driver. An Approved Screening Device Demand was issued to check the sobriety of the driver. The test registered an alert warning.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Andrew Hill (38 -years-old) of Ohsweken, Ontario with the following offences: 

– Operation while Prohibited  

– Drive Motor Vehicle in Contravention of Conditions  

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on November 28, 2024. The vehicle was impounded for 45 days. 

Six Nations Police charge individual with Impaired Operation

While members of the Six Nations Police were investigating an unrelated matter where the individuals were intoxicated, officers were advised that a male party had left the scene in a motor vehicle prior to police arrival at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

A description of the vehicle was provided. After police finished their earlier investigation, the vehicle was observed at a local business on Fourth Line Road. Police approached the vehicle to check the sobriety of the occupants. The male driver displayed signs of impairment.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Ryan Scott (21 -years-old) of Ohsweken, Ontario with the following offences: 

– Impaired Operation 

– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus” 

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on November 29, 2024. The vehicle was impounded for seven days.
