Six Nations Police charge eight people with Impaired Driving in less than three weeks

Eight individuals have been arrested and charged following separate impaired driving-related incidents between May 26, 2025, and June 14, 2025.  

On May 26, 2025, at approximately 6:02 a.m., police were called to a suspicious vehicle on Second Line Road. Police attended the area and located a male asleep in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.  

As a result of this investigation, police have arrested and charged Alexander DELAHUNTY (35-years-old) of Brantford with the following criminal and provincial  ffences: 

– Impaired Operation 

– Drive while under Suspension 

– Fail to Surrender Licence 

– “High” Drug per se Offence 

Six Nations Police responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle collision on Highway 6 and Argyle Street in Haldimand County at approximately 2:40 a.m. on May 27, 2025.

A Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) was located down the embarkment at the intersection. The driver was taken to a local area hospital for minor injuries.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Jacklyn DAVIES (36-years-old) of Mount Hope, ON with the following criminal offences: 

– Impaired Operation 

– Dangerous Driving 

– Obstruct Peace Officer 

– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus” 

At approximately 4:34 p.m. on June 1, 2025, the police were advised of a single vehicle collision on First Line Road. A male party was located walking away from the collision when police arrived. The male was transported to a local area hospital as a precaution. 

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Joshua MONTOUR (46-years-old) of Hagersville, ON with the following criminal and provincial offences: 

– Dangerous Driving 

– Impaired Driving  

– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus” 

– Fail to Remain  

– Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence  

– Drive while Suspended x 2  

Six Nations Police were advised of a suspicious vehicle on Fourth Line at approximately 1:19 a.m. on June 4, 2025.

A motor vehicle had pulled into a private laneway, playing loud music. As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Matt SANDY (32-years-old) of Ohsweken, ON with the following criminal offences: 

– Impaired Operation 

– Failure or Refusal to Comply x 2  

– Obstruct Peace Officer 

On June 8, 2025, at approximately 6:32 a.m., Six Nations Police were notified of a stationary vehicle in the wrong lane on Tuscarora Road. Officers attended the location and located a male party asleep at the wheel of the vehicle. The vehicle was turned off.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Zachary GREEN (27-years-old) of Ohsweken, ON with the following criminal offences: 

– Impaired operation 

– Failure or Refusal to Comply 

– Operation while prohibited 

Six Nations Police were advised of a single vehicle collision on Second Line Road at approximately 9:35 a.m. on June 14, 2025

A vehicle collided with a hydro pole. The male driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to a local area hospital as a precaution.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Joshua HARRIS (44 -years-old) of Hagersville, ON, with the following criminal and provincial offences:

– Impaired Operation 

– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus” 

– Operate Motor Vehicle without Insurance  

All six accused are scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice in  Brantford, Ontario on a later date.  

At approximately 3:36 p.m. on June 7, 2025, Six Nations Police were on general patrol on Indian Line Road when they observed a motor vehicle driving erratically. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Taylor WHITLOW (26-years-old) of Ohsweken, ON with the following criminal and provincial offences:

– Dangerous Driving 

– Impaired Operation 

– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus” 

– Fail to Comply with Undertaking – Conditions x 2 

– Drive while Suspended 

– No Clear View to Front 

Six Nations Police were on general patrol on Onondaga Road when they observed a motor vehicle driving erratically at approximately 12:45 a.m. on June 14, 2025.

Police conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle. As a result, police have arrested and charged Kaden GENERAL (26-years-old) of Ohsweken, ON, with the following criminal offences: 

– Impaired Operation 

– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus” 

– Fail to Comply with Release Order – Other Than to Attend Court 

Both accused were held in custody pending a formal bail hearing and were remanded into custody.  

In 2024, the Six Nations Police recorded a total of 74 impaired operation incidents. From January 1 to June 30, 2025, a total of 35 impaired operation incidents has been reported.
