Ron Budreau has accepted the position of Executive Director of Brant Municipal Enterprises (BME), effective January 12, 2026.
“We welcome Mr. Budreau to the County of Brant in his new role with Brant Municipal Enterprises,” said Alison Newton, Chief Administrative Officer for the County of Brant. “He brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous roles and experiences, including 10 years of service as a BME Board member, and we look forward to what the future holds.”
Budreau brings extensive business experience, including 15 years of international leadership with Microsoft and Salesforce, as well as 25 years as an entrepreneur. He is also a Professor in the International School of Business at Conestoga College, focused on socially responsible entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership. Locally, Budreau has served ten years as a BME Board Member, two years on the Brant Municipal Services Board, and as a citizen representative on the Brant County O.P.P. Detachment Board.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to work alongside a talented team, an engaged Board, and committed municipal partners,” said Budreau. “Together, I believe we can continue to grow Brant Municipal Enterprises in a way that is financially sound, environmentally responsible, and aligned with the values of our community.”
Brant Municipal Enterprises Inc. is a County of Brant-owned corporation with a primary focus on generating new revenues for the County of Brant while adding economic and social value to the community. Brant Municipal Enterprises focuses on renewable energy development and real estate.
