County of BrantProvince updates recreational facilities regulations

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Province of Ontario has recently updated requirements for people who visit recreational facilities to protect the health and wellbeing of the community.

The following updates will apply to patrons who use County of Brant facilities:

  • As of December 20, 2021, youth 12 – 17 years old are required to show proof of vaccination to enter a recreational facility.
    • Note of clarification: For children born in 2010 who are participating in activities that require proof of vaccination, they will be required to provide proof of vaccination 12 weeks after their 12th birthday.
  • As of January 4, 2022, the County will only accept the QR code issued by the Province of Ontario as proof of vaccination to enter a recreational facility. To download your QR code, please visit https://covid-19.ontario.ca/get-proof/.

Please remember to stay home if you are feeling ill. Face coverings are required when visiting a County of Brant community centre, arena, office and other indoor facility. Please note, Municipal Law Enforcement Officers are present at County facilities and do enforce this requirement.
