After receiving a complaint about a vehicle driving in an unsafe manner, charges have been laid against an Ohsweken resident.  

Six Nations Police were advised of a traffic complaint on Third Line Road at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

The complainant advised police that a vehicle was performing unsafe driving maneuvers and driving on the property at the location. Police attended the area and observed a vehicle matching the description provided. Police conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and spoke with the female driver. Signs of impairment were observed on the female.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Erika Hess (33-years-old) of Ohsweken, Ontario with the following criminal offences:

– Impaired Operation 

– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus”  

– Dangerous Driving  

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on February 20, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days.
