Edwin Flewelling of Paris matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the November 29, 2025 LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $100,000.
Flewelling, a retiree, has been a loyal lottery player with OLG for decades.
“I’ve been playing the same set of numbers on LOTTO 6/49 for over 30 years and always add ENCORE to my tickets,” he said, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings.
The 76-year-old discovered his big win while checking his ticket at the store.
“I saw the number pop up on the screen and was shocked; I had to scan my ticket again,” recalled Flewelling.
Afterward, he went straight home to share the remarkable news with his kids.
“Later that day, we all went back to the store to have the ticket validated together. When the clerk scanned it, the machine shut down, and soon after, I received a call from OLG. I was shaking in disbelief and thought to myself, ‘Is this really happening?’ Winning big feels surreal,” he described.
Flewelling plans to share his windfall with his children and save for the future.
“I haven’t thought too far ahead about how I’ll spend it, but I’m a simple guy. My health and my family are the true prizes, and this win just adds to that,” he concluded.
