Brant OPPParis resident facing Speeding and Stunt Driving charges

A Paris resident is facing charges following a traffic stop Highway 403 in Brant County.

A member of the Brant Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement on Hwy. 403 at approximately 9:49 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

The officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at 159km/h in a posted 100km/h zone.

As a result of the traffic stop, a 23-year-old of Paris has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

–      Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed

–      Speeding 50+ km/h Over Posted Speed Limit

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on April 25, 2024, to answer to the charges.
