Paris resident facing multiple charges after traffic stop

Brant OPPParis resident facing multiple charges after traffic stop

Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a targeted vehicle enforcement operation in Paris, resulting in significant charges against a 19-year-old driver at at about 7:24 p.m. on June 12, 2024.

During the operation on June 12, officers identified a vehicle registered as Unfit with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) due to multiple safety violations, including:

  • Operating an unsafe vehicle
  • Driving without a horn
  • Defective braking system
  • Obstructed windshield
  • Unnecessary noise

The 19-year-old driver from Paris has been issued with charges and will face a court date in the future.
