Paris resident facing multiple charges after altercation

Brant OPPParis resident facing multiple charges after altercation

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), received a 911 call reporting an altercation between two male parties in the Town of Paris at 9:50p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

The complainant reported a red Chevrolet pickup truck driving erratically and at high speeds, doing burn outs and brake stands. The complainant was able to confront the driver, who fled from the vehicle.

Police attended and located the male driver in the area.

As a result, Preston NOVAK, a 25-year-old of Paris, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood concentration 80 plus
  • Dangerous operation
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code

The accused was released on a Form 10 undertaking and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date to answer to the charges.
