Paris man charged with Impaired Driving

Brantford Police were dispatched to the area of King George Road and Varadi Avenue after receiving a report from a concerned citizen of a possible impaired driver on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at approximately 12:00 a.m.
Officers located the vehicle on Lynden Road near Wayne Gretzky Parkway, where the vehicle was observed to be driving erratically.
A traffic stop was initiated and in speaking with the accused, officers observed signs of impairment.
The accused provided a breath sample to the roadside screening device which resulted in a fail. As a result, the accused was arrested and charged for Impaired Operation of a Conveyance and 80 plus blood alcohol and transported to provide samples of breath as required by law.
Both samples provided were over the legal limit.
As a result, the accused, a 35-year-old male from Paris, stands charged with: 
•  Impaired Operation of a Conveyance, contrary to the Criminal Code 
•  80 plus Blood Alcohol, contrary to the Criminal Code
Additionally, a license suspension was issued, and the vehicle impounded as per law.
