OPP charge Cambridge resident with Stunt Driving

Brant OPPOPP charge Cambridge resident with Stunt Driving

A member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Brant Road near Scenic Drive in the County of Brant after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling at a speed of approximately 160 km/h in a posted 80 km/h speed zone.

As a result of the investigation, a 18-year-old driver from Cambridge, Ontario has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed
  • Speeding – 50 km/h over the posted speed of 110 km/h Zone

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation.
