Six Nations  Police were notified of a possible impaired driver at a local business on Fourth Line Road at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024.

After receiving a complaint from the public about the driver of a motor vehicle being asleep at the wheel in a parking lot, police have arrested and charged an Ohsweken resident.  

Officers attended the location and located a vehicle matching the  description provided. A lone female occupant was observed in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The officers used preventative measures to make sure the vehicle did not attempt to leave while the officers were investigating. Police spoke with the female and observed signs of impairment.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged, Colette Green  (59 years old) of Ohsweken, ON with the following offences: 

– Impaired Operation 

– “High” Drug per se Offence  

– Possession of a Controlled Substance 

– Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence  

The vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was held in custody pending a formal bail hearing.
