Ohsweken resident facing multiple driving related charges

CrimeOhsweken resident facing multiple driving related charges

An Ohsweken resident has been arrested and charged with multiple driving related offences.  

Officers were travelling on Chiefswood Road when they observed a vehicle with a smashed windshield fail to come to a complete stop at the posted stop sign at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

The vehicle also failed to signal their turn. Officers continued to follow the vehicle at a safe distance. The  vehicle travelled at a high rate of speed including through a school zone. The vehicle was observed to make an unsafe lane change.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Ryan  BOUCHARD (39 years old) of Ohsweken, ON with the following criminal offences: – Dangerous Driving 

– Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt/Speeding by 50 or more km/hr  – Speeding 

– Unsafe Lane Change  

The accused was held in custody pending a formal bail hearing.
