Brant OPPOhsweken man facing multiple charges after call from resident

One person is facing criminal charges after Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members responded to a traffic complaint Saturday evening in the County of Brant.

On Saturday December 10, 2022, at approximately 11:48 p.m., Brant County OPP members responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 403. A good Samaritan called police after observing concerning behaviour. The involved vehicle was located, and officers initiated a traffic stop. One person was arrested and transported to the Brant OPP detachment for testing.

Police have charged Danny Paul VYSE, 30-years-of-age from Ohsweken with the following offences:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand,
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor and
  • Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
