Brant OPPOhsweken man charged with Impaired Driving

One person is facing impaired driving charges after good Samaritans at a commercial address contacted police for a traffic complaint.

On Tuesday September 27, 2022, at approximately 3:58 a.m., officers with the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint at a commercial address on Colborne Street East in the County of Brant.

Witnesses observed a driver’s behaviour that caused them to be concerned and contacted police. Brant OPP members located the involved vehicle where one person was arrested and transported to Brant County detachment for testing.

Police have charged Roger Lyle MARTIN, 46-years-of-age from Ohsweken with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol or drugs,
  • Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code and
  • Failure to comply with undertaking.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
