Brant OPPNorfolk County man facing charges after single-vehicle collision

One person is facing impaired driving charges after Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members investigated a single-vehicle collision early Sunday morning.

officers with the Brant County OPP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Lydia Lane in the County of Brant at approximately 12:37 a.m. on February 12, 2023.

One person was arrested and transported to Brantford Police Service for testing.

Police have charged 66-year-old Philip Robert VELENOSI, from Norfolk County with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol or drugs and
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
