Metrolinx to extend GO bus route to Six Nations

Local NewsMetrolinx to extend GO bus route to Six Nations

A GO bus route that currently runs between Brantford and Burlington will add new stops in Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nations next month.

Starting April 5, GO bus route 15 will run three trips a day in each direction, seven days a week, connecting to Brantford Bus Terminal, McMaster University and to Lakeshore West GO train service at Aldershot GO Station.

The service will include new stops at New Credit Variety and Gas Bar, 50 Generations Dr., Six Nations Sports and Cultural Memorial Centre, Sour Springs Road at Chiefswood Road, and Sour Springs Road at Mohawk Road.

This extension will be the first time Metrolinx expands GO bus service to First Nations.

Metrolinx says that the expanded route will provide community members with access to local and regional services like health-care appointments, schools and jobs.
