Arts and EntertainmentLooking for artists for 2025 Culture Days on the Trail

City of Brantford is inviting local performers and artists from Brantford, County of Brant, Six Nations of the Grand River, and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation to take part in this year’s Culture Days on the Trails event.

Singers, dancers, poets, spoken word artists, musicians, theatre performers, and live painters are encouraged to submit a proposal to showcase their talents. Culture Days on the Trails will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. along a section of the SC Johnson Trail.

During the event, artists will be stationed along a beautiful 2.6-kilometre stretch of trail between Hardy Road parking lot and Lafayette Avenue, which overlooks the Grand River and runs behind Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant and the Brantford Golf and Country Club. Attendees will be invited to walk along the trail and enjoy several mini concerts and performances. Artists will be compensated $250 for the three-hour performance time. The rain date for this event will be Sunday, September 21, 2025.

“We are thrilled to host the third annual Culture Days on the Trails,” said Adrienne Briggs, Arts and Culture Coordinator for the City of Brantford. “This celebration showcases the incredible talent that we have here in Brantford while also promoting inclusivity, participation and engagement in arts and culture.”

Those interested in participating can apply online at www.discoverbrantford.ca/CultureDays. The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 9, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. For inquiries about the Call for Artists, please contact culture@brantford.ca.
