Local NewsLadies Who Lead hosts 2026 Women of Impact event

Ladies Who Lead held their 2026 Women of Impact event at the Brantford Golf and Country Club on Wednesday April 1, 2026.

The evening was a powerful celebration of community, resilience, and female leadership, bringing together over 150 attendees to recognize the remarkable contributions of women within our region.

“We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this sold-out evening. The energy in the room was a testament to the strength of our local network and the collective commitment to fostering professional and personal growth. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2026 Outstanding Women Leader awards.

These awards recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision, and a dedication to making a positive difference in the community. We are honoured to congratulate this year’s recipients:

– Anne Buchanan

– Sandra Vos

– Melanie Mears

Each of these women embodies the spirit of impact, and their achievements serve as an inspiration to us all. In addition to celebrating these leaders, the event served a greater community purpose.

Ladies Who Lead announced that proceeds from the evening, totalling $8,091 were donated to the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation, specifically supporting the Mammography Department. This contribution will help to ensure that vital healthcare resources remain accessible to women throughout our community. The evening also featured an empowering keynote address by Nina Purewal, who shared insights on mindfulness and finding balance in a high-impact world.

Ladies Who Lead remains committed to providing a space where local women can grow, prosper, and lead. To become a part of our thriving community, we encourage women throughout the region to sign up as members and gain access to exclusive networking & mentorship opportunities at ladieswholead.ca/membership. We look forward to continuing this momentum at our upcoming May pop-up event, followed by our season finale event in June.
