CrimeKitchener man charged with Impaired Operation

On Saturday, March 19, 2022, at approximately 2:50 a.m., patrol officers with the Brantford Police Service observed a vehicle travelling northbound on King George Road at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle was then observed to turn onto Powerline Road before turning into a driveway. Officers conducted a traffic stop. Signs of impairment were observed when speaking with the driver.

A roadside Approved Screening Device was administered, which the accused failed. The accused was then arrested and transported to provide samples of his breath as required by law. Both samples were in excess of the legal limit.

As a result, a 37-year-old man from Kitchener, stands charged with Operation over 80mg, contrary to the Criminal Code.

Additionally, the accused’s license was suspended, and the vehicle impounded as per law.
