Impaired driver arrested after RIDE check stop

Brant OPPImpaired driver arrested after RIDE check stop

Members of the Brant County OPP were conducting a stationary ride program at Cockshut Road, South of Oxbow, in the County of Brant on Wednesday, November 12, 2025,.

Upon stopping a pickup truck and speaking to a male driver, police administered an approved roadside screening device test, which resulted in a “fail”.

Following a police investigation, Christopher Montour, a 39-year-old male from Six Nations of the Grand River, was taken into custody and charged with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford in the near future.
