Impaired driver arrested after collision on Hwy. 403

Brant OPPImpaired driver arrested after collision on Hwy. 403

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Hwy. 403 East at King George Road in the County of Brant at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025.

During the police investigation no injuries were reported and Thomas STOOP, a 27-year-old male of Mount Elgin Ontario, was taken into custody and charged with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on December 19, 2025. Mr. Stoop had his drivers licence suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
