HipFest to return to Harmony Square this August

HipFest will be returning to Harmony Square on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. where attendees can enjoy an evening of live music performed by 50 Mission and Man Machine Poem.

HipFest is an an outdoor rock concert to celebrate the legacy of The Tragically Hip.

“Tragically Hip fans are not going to want to miss this event,” said Jennifer Middleton, Special Events Supervisor for the City of Brantford. “We are very grateful to this year’s presenting sponsor, Hudson Public, Kitchen and Bar and to The Downtown Brantford BIA for sponsoring the opening band Man Machine Poem.”

New this year, food, craft and artisan vendors will be in Harmony Square with items available for purchase throughout the evening.

50 Mission is a local Brantford band that performs the greatest hits of The Tragically Hip with polish and passion with a lead vocalist that has a “Gord Downie” style voice that is second to none. Fans agree, it will be like listening to your favourite album with this authentic sounding Tragically Hip tribute band.

Man Machine Poem is a collaboration of Ontario musicians that celebrate everyone’s favourite hits from The Tragically Hip with a high energy that will have everyone singing along and dancing.

Free parking is available on Saturday in the Municipal Parkade located at 59 Icomm Drive.  Brantford Transit is also available to attendees looking for transportation to Harmony Square with the main terminal conveniently located only one block away.
