Healthy Kids is inviting families to submit photographs of their family traditions throughout October, November and December
Families have the opportunity to win a $25 gift card and prize pack. The photo contest is another one of many activities that have taken place throughout the year as part of the Healthy Kids Celebrate Culture program.
“Engaging with our kids through family traditions is an essential way to celebrate and share our cultures with our community,” said Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis. “As an active grandfather, I know the importance of the Healthy Kids program and I am very excited to champion this new photo contest where families can have fun making memories and share those moments with others.”
A new photo contest will launch each month from October 15 until December 24, 2021. From October 15 to 31, 2021, share your favourite family Fall tradition. Submit a photo of your favourite traditional family recipe from November 8 to 26, 2021. And finally, from December 6 to 24, 2021, send in a photo of your family celebrating holiday traditions.

The Healthy Kids programs have been implemented across the community with different themes to encourage children and families to live a healthy lifestyle since September 2015. The Healthy Kids project team has worked with over 200 community partner agencies and businesses to offer and help implement programming to promote physical activity, drinking more water, healthier eating, less screen time use and methods to build confidence and improve self-esteem.
