The vehicle was recorded at 164 km/h in an 80 km/h zone, more than double the posted speed limit. Officers swiftly pulled over the vehicle and identified the driver as a 19-year-old Hamilton resident.

Due to this hazardous driving behavior, the vehicle has been impounded for 14 days, and the driver’s license has been suspended for 30 days. The driver now faces several serious charges, including:

–      Stunt driving

–      Exceeding the speed limit by 50 km/h

The Brant County OPP urges all drivers to comply with posted speed limits and drive responsibly. Ensuring the safety of our roads relies on the cooperation and vigilance of all road users.
