Brant OPPHamilton man facing multiple charges after Stunt Driving

Brant County OPP officers conducted stationary LIDAR speed enforcement on King Edward Street at approximately 2:21 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

A vehicle was observed traveling at 101 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone.

The officer initiated a traffic stop, and it was determined that the driver, a 26-year-old male from Hamilton, had a suspended licence due to unpaid fines. The driver was also unable to provide proof of insurance.

As a result of the stop, the driver was charged with the following offences:

  • Stunt driving
  • Driving with a suspended licence
  • Failure to provide insurance

The vehicle was towed and impounded for 14 days. The driver’s licence was also suspended.
