Food Bank receives $42,923 from Smile Cookie campaign

Local NewsFood Bank receives $42,923 from Smile Cookie campaign

Brantford Food Bank received $42,922.72 from this year’s Holiday Smile Cookie campaign.

The campaign raised a grand total of $85,854.44 and $42,922.72 was generously directed to support the Brantford Food Bank, with the other half supporting Tim Hortons’ Foundation Camps.

The Brantford Food Bank would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Tim Hortons’, participating restaurant owners and staff, volunteers, and every community member who purchased a Smile Cookie this holiday Season. This generosity provides a much-needed boost during the holidays; a time when many families feel the strain of increased cost of living, grocery prices, and holiday pressures.

“The Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign doesn’t just help us to stock our shelves, it helps bring comfort, dignity and hope to our clients” said Heather Vanner, Executive Director at the Brantford Food Bank. “This community support helps ensure that individuals and families have access to food during some of the most difficult times of their lives, and we are truly grateful”.

Funds raised will support the Food Bank’s year-round programming, including emergency food assistance, holiday support, and essential community services that thousands rely on each year.
