Driver charged after failing to stop for OPP on Hwy. 403

Brant OPPDriver charged after failing to stop for OPP on Hwy. 403

Brant County OPP responded to a report of a vehicle being driven erratically on Highway 403 westbound near Brantford at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

The vehicle failed to stop for police and was later safely stopped near Highway 403 and Highway 401 with the assistance of Oxford County OPP.

As a result, 42-year-old Richard WIEBE of Scarborough has been charged with:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Flight from Peace Officer

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date.
