Several roads across the County of Brant and Brantford remained closed on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
The closures occurred after a storm downed trees and hydro wires on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Ontario Provincial Police said at least eight roads are blocked, including 5th Concession at Wight Road and Mount Pleasant Road between Burtch Road and Russell Street.
Drivers are being asked to proceed with extreme caution or to ideally avoid these routes until further notice.
