Cyclist killed after motor vehicle collision in Paris

Brant OPPCyclist killed after motor vehicle collision in Paris

One person has been pronounced deceased after a bicycle and a motor vehicle were involved in a collision on Green Lane in Brant County Thursday evening.

Members from Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), County of Brant Fire Department and Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services responded to a collision on Green Lane in the town of Paris at approximately 5:57 p.m. on Thursday October 27, 2022.

It was determined that a passenger vehicle struck a cyclist. One person was transported to an area hospital by paramedics where they were pronounced deceased by attending physicians.

The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Thomas KEEN of Brant County.

Green Lane was closed for approximately six hours while emergency crews and investigators were on scene.

OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team members continue to investigate the collision. Police are asking anyone in the area who owns a dash camera and may have been in the area, or anyone with information to assist the investigation, to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
