COVID-19 Outbreak Declared Over at Brantford General Hospital

An outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared over on the B8 Medical Inpatient floor at Brantford General Hospital.                               

 

The outbreak was declared Friday, January 7, when the unit met the criteria for an outbreak. In total, 11 individuals tested positive in connection to the outbreak. 

In consultation with the Brant County Health Unit, Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) has declared the outbreak over as of January 27, 2022. Please note that 2 units at Brantford General Hospital, B5 Surgical and B7 Medical, remain in outbreak status at this time. 

BCHS extends sincere thanks to all staff and physicians for their continued dedication and diligence to ensure all patients receive safe, high quality care.  

To the community, BCHS expresses gratitude for ongoing support throughout the pandemic, and encourages people to continue following all public health protocols to stay safe and protect against COVID-19.
