County of Brant facilities re-open

County of BrantCounty of Brant facilities re-open

The Province of Ontario announced it will follow a cautious and phased approach to re-open and ease current public health measures and restrictions. As such, the County is pleased to announce the re-opening of amenities.

As of January 31, 2022, the following County of Brant amenities will re-open with a 50% capacity limit:

  • Community Centres including Brant Sports Complex, Buford Community Centre, Scotland Community Centre, South Dumfries Community Centre and Syl Apps

Indoor recreation programming including public skates, turf programs and Kinderplay will resume with a 40 person capacity limit and will operate on a first come, first serve basis.

In order to enter the Community Centres, those 12 years and older must show proof of vaccination or proof of medical exemption with the province-issued QR code. To download your QR code, please visit covid-19.ontario.ca/get-proof. Note of clarification: Children born in 2010 who are participating in activities that require proof of vaccination will be required to provide proof of vaccination 12 weeks after their 12th birthday.

Face coverings are required when visiting a County of Brant community centre, arena and other indoor facility.

In addition, the Province requires spectators at the Community Centres to keep their face coverings on at all times. Please note, in order to consume food and drinks inside the building, the patron must be seated. Vending machines are available. The concession stands will remain closed. Municipal Law Enforcement Officers are present at County facilities and do enforce these regulations.
