Please be advised that the Province of Ontario will return to the modified version of Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen effective Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. for at least 21 days (until January 26, 2022), subject to trends in public health and health system indicators.

Social gathering limits will be reduced to five people indoors and ten people outdoors.

Beginning Wednesday, January 5, 2022, the following County of Brant service level changes will occur:

Customer Service:

County of Brant Customer Service Offices located in Burford and Paris remain open at this time. We encourage the public to reach us over the phone or online whenever possible, to assist our efforts of continuing service while minimizing in person contact. Please call 519.44BRANT (519.442.7268), 1.855.44BRANT or email info@brant.ca.  As well, a number of services are available online such as submitting a building permit, paying taxes, dog park memberships and purchasing bulk water.  Please visit www.brant.ca/OnlineServices for a full list of online services.  For Customer Service Office updates visit www.brant.ca/COVID19.

Facilities and Programs:

County of Brant Arenas and Community Centres will close as of January 5, 2022 at 12:01 am for at least 21 days. All registered and drop-in programs are cancelled during this time. If you have a facility booking during this closure period, please contact 519.442.1944 or email facilitybooking@brant.ca.  Staff are working to issue credits/refunds. Please be patient.

Exceptions include:

  • The Just 4 Moms and Kids Children’s Centre operated in the Scotland Community Centre will remain open to offer child care services. Please note that school age children are prohibited from attending the centre during this time.
  • Due to online learning the After School programs will be cancelled until in-person learning resumes.
  • The Paris Museum hosted at the Syl Apps Community Centre in Paris is closed during this time.
  • Outdoor amenities remain open, visit www.brant.ca/WinterActivities to learn more.
  • Information on virtual programs (including fitness classes) will be coming soon, visit www.brant.ca/Recreation for updates.

Libraries:

County of Brant Libraries are limited to 50% capacity. Masks are required and we ask that you practice social distancing of 2 metres when visiting. Please visit www.brantlibrary.ca or follow the County of Brant Public Library on social media for more information.

Cemeteries:
Outdoor services are limited to the number of people that can maintain 2 metres of physical distance. Social gatherings associated with these services must adhere to the social gathering limits.
