One person is facing Highway Traffic Act (HTA) charges after a single-vehicle collision on Highway 403 in Brant County Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday August 29, 2023, at approximately 8:03 a.m., members from Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), County of Brant Fire Department and Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services responded to a collision on Highway 403 near West Quarter Townline Road in the County of Brant.

It was determined that a motor vehicle left the roadway and struck a steel guardrail. There were no reported injuries.

A 41-year-old from Windsor has been charged with the following offence:

  • Careless Driving.

Highway 403 westbound lanes were closed from Brant Road 25 to Highway 401 in Oxford County for approximately four hours while crews made repairs to the guardrail.
