City of Brantford names Director of Engineering Services

The City of Brantford is pleased to announce that Jennifer Elliott has accepted the position as the Director of Engineering Services. Jennifer began her career with the City of Brantford as a student in 1995 and started full-time in March 2000.

“I am very much looking forward to continuing to serve Brantford and my community in my new role,” said Jennifer Elliott, Director of Engineering Services, City of Brantford. “I look forward to continuing to build upon the strengths of staff and ensure that Engineering Services is an extraordinary and cohesive group.”

Starting her career in the City’s drafting department, Elliott quickly advanced to the position of Civil Designer, designing many of Brantford’s reconstructed roadways. Throughout the years, she has continuously taken on increased responsibility and higher profile tasks. She advanced to Senior Project Manager, and ultimately Manager of Capital & Development in Environmental Services to oversee all Capital construction projects at the Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Distribution/Wastewater Collections and Solid Waste.

“We are pleased to have recruited this position from within the Public Works Commission,” said Inderjit Hans, General Manager of Public Works, City of Brantford. “Jennifer has years of experience with high profile local projects and has proven to be a strong and supportive leader for staff. I’m confident she will excel in her new position and continue to enhance services provided to the community.”

Elliott begins her new role on November 15, 2021. She has called Brantford home for over 20 years, enjoys spending time with her family on the trails and takes pride in the community.
