SC Johnson and the City of Brantford officially celebrated the completion of significant upgrades to the T.B. Costain/SC Johnson Community Centre during a ribbon cutting event attended by representatives from SC Johnson, City officials, and members of the community on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Upgrades to the Community Centre include enhancements to the building’s exterior façade and substantial improvements to the gymnasium, offering a more welcoming, accessible, and functional space for residents of all ages. These improvements were made possible through the generous support of SC Johnson, a long-standing community partner with deep roots in Brantford.
Kevin Davis, Mayor for the City of Brantfod, shared his appreciation during the celebration event.
“The T.B. Costain/SC Johnson Community Centre is a cherished space that brings people together, supports healthy activity, and strengthens our sense of neighbourhood. Thanks to SC Johnson’s continued generosity and commitment to Brantford, these improvements will ensure the Centre remains a focal point of community connection for many years to come,” said Mayor Davis.
SC Johnson, whose name has always been proudly associated with the Centre, reaffirmed their dedication to the well-being of Brantford residents.

The T.B. Costain/SC Johnson Community Centre has been a beloved and vital part of the community for decades, offering recreational programming, and a welcoming space for events and gatherings. The recent upgrades ensure the Centre continues to serve as an accessible, and inclusive community hub.
