Cambridge resident caught driving double the limit

Brant OPPCambridge resident caught driving double the limit

Members of the Brant County OPP charged a Cambridge resident after they were clocked going 167 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone over the Thanksgiving weekend.

The 27-year-old was stopped on Brant Road as part of Operation Impact, a national police public awareness campaign, which took place over Thanksgiving

The campaign focuses on education and enforcement of impaired driving due to alcohol, drugs and fatigue, aggressive driving, distracted driving and the use of seat belts and child car seats.

The driver received a 30-day driving suspension and had their vehicle impounded for two weeks.
